What should the summary say for a senior role?
Scope, sector and a number: the size of the organisation or budget, the years of experience and the one result you are known for. Anything a covering letter would say belongs in the letter, not the top third of the CV.
How long can an executive CV be?
Two pages is normal beyond about ten years of experience, and three is acceptable for a board level role with a career spanning more than one sector. What is not acceptable is a page and a half with the second half empty.
How many roles should I list?
Every role that shows a step up, and a single grouped line for the earlier ones. Dropping the first decade is normal, as long as the grouped line still accounts for the time so there is no unexplained gap.
