Why does Harvard look different between two of my modules?
Harvard is not one specification: each university publishes its own version, and they differ over brackets, punctuation and how many authors appear before et al. This tool builds the common author date form, and the fields are editable, so you can match a department sheet exactly.
How do I cite a source with more than three authors?
The entry is built with the full author list so the reference list stays complete, and the in-text form is kept short. If your department wants the first author followed by et al. in the list too, trim the list in the field before copying.
Does it handle a chapter inside an edited book?
Yes. Give the chapter author and title in the author and title fields and the book editor, title and pages in the container fields, and the reference comes out with the chapter first and the book it sits in following. The citation engine runs from a style library bundled with the page, so it keeps working offline and your sources are never uploaded.
